MY WORK

I feel as though i am a very creative person, driven simply by the organic need to create, explore and reflect. My dance work is contemporary based, with a light, continuous fluidity to the style of the movement. As a growing dance artist i am still exploring a variety of different dance work ideas and figuring out who i am as a choreographer, and what i wish to portray with my work. So far i have worked with ideas based upon personal matters and contextual theories. Therefore as an creative choreographic explorer i like to research and work on a variety of different ideas and themes and methodologies. Which can be inspired by a wide source of platforms, such as music, photos, improvisation, imagination, poetry, reality, personal matters and so forth.

I have been choreographing short, solo, duets and group dance works for many years. Experimenting and developing key skills to understand how dance choreography works along with exploring my own individual style of creating choreography and the stylistic features of the movement. As a dancer I feel it is important to research and have the desire to continue learning more about choreography, performance, technique and theories, understanding different philosophies and methodologies.
